How to Turn on Remote Desktop Using Regedit


Run regedit.exe.

  1. Enter the following registry key: HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Terminal Server

  2. Under the Terminal Server key, find the REG_WORD value named DenyTSConnection.

  3. Double-click on that value to open the edit DWORD Value box and change the value data from 1 (Remote Desktop disable) to 0 (Remote Desktop enabled).
